Bring In Search of Nijinsky to Life
After more than 2.5 years of working, researching, photographing and shaping, a moment I have been moving toward for a long time has finally arrived: my photo-artist book In Search of Nijinsky is ready to be printed and bound.
Because the production costs of an art book are high, I have started a crowdfunding campaign via Stichting Voor de Kunst(Foundation for the Arts). Through this campaign I can produce the book in the quality it deserves, while also making a first print run possible.
Note: Some of you may have already received a personal message from me about this project, thank you so much if you have! I wanted to share it with my newsletter audience too, for anyone who hasn’t received it yet.
The Quiet Week
The campaign has just gone live and is now in its first, “quiet” week. During this phase, I’m not sharing the project publicly on social media yet; instead, I’m first reaching out to people who have been following my work for some time. This early support is incredibly important, it builds confidence, visibility, and a strong foundation for the rest of the campaign.
What the Book is About
In Search of Nijinsky explores the inner world of Vaslav Nijinsky, one of the 20th century’s most influential dancers. Rather than retelling his fame or performances, the book delves into the silence, loneliness, and unseen struggles that followed his withdrawal from the stage. Through photographs and reflections, it seeks to understand the person behind the legend and offers space to reflect on the fragility of the human mind.
How You Can Help
You can support the project by pre-ordering the book, which helps make printing possible and reserves your copy. Any contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated, every bit of support makes a difference!

Thanks to the support and contributors, and the contribution of the cultuur fonds, In Search of Nijinsky has been successfully funded. That still feels very special, and I’m deeply grateful.
